The Gummy-man Cocktail

As soon as Jeremy and I moved into our new home, last autumn, we started a new tradition of inventing a special cocktail for each of our guests. It's been a lot of fun! This cocktail is called The Gummy-man and it's named after Todd and Laura Gummerman. It's probably our favorite one yet because Todd is really (really) into gummy candy. Ever since the first time we made it, he's been requesting it. I'm pretty sure we found his cocktail soul mate. 

We wanted this drink to taste like a gummy bear. It's basically a suicide of fruity schnapps. We've used watermelon, peach, raspberry and apple. Most importantly, there is a cocktail stick with gummy candy. :) 

Ridiculous? Most definitely. Delicious? Obviously.

Nothing but the best for this set of besties! Cheers. 

#365DaysAtHome (back at it!)

I took a break from my 365 project because we were traveling a ton and my sister's wedding needed to be my obsession for a season (it was & it was a-mazing!). Now I'm home for a couple months and ready to jump back into my project... picking up where I left off! :) 

27/365: The White Stripes. Still so good after all these years. 

28/365: Plants in the house make everything prettier. We're planting a box garden later on this week and I'm so nervous and excited. 

29/365: Wheatgrass for green smoothies. I think it's pretty too. 

It's a beautiful stormy saturday. We're having Laura, Todd and Laura's adorable parents over for cocktails and homemade salsa tonight! I'm having a nice, slow cleaning day at home. Happy weekend to you...♥

In the past seven days my little sister got married, we had some of our besties as house guests, we had an overdose of cocktails, mexican food and food in general and now we're getting back into a normal routine. :) Life is good. I'm still catching up on e-mails and blog stuff. Looking forward to starting book shoots again next week when Emma gets home! 

Summertime is here to stay.

It's officially too hot to run outside, too hot to wear jeans and too hot to be cute if you have bangs. :) It's officially the PERFECT time of year for nighttime parties outside, smoothies, sprinklers, puppy pools, bare feet, swimming pools and lemonade. Summertime is here to stay and I'm kinda into it. 

Since I'm home for the summer and the wedding is over I'm going to get back into my #365DaysAtHome project- starting today!
