So, moving in has been pretty cool. We do already feel at home in the new space, and that's amazing. What we don't feel is "settled in", like at all. Our house is much larger than our previous home and we got rid of a lot of furniture before the move. That means I am in shopping mode. I am not complaining, I LOVE shopping. But I do feel a teeny bit of pressure to pull the rooms together and get everything out of boxes ASAP. But I also promised myself that I would decorate with patience and not buy things just to fill space.
This morning we went to a few of our favorite flea markets and found this beauty. It's covered in paint. I think it must have been used in a painter's space before. I can't decide if I want to leave it all messy or sand it and paint it. Hmmm.... I think I'll clean it really well and then decide.
The puppies have never been happier and that makes me happy. They are spending each day playing together and at night they are so worn out and snuggly... I could get used to this! Also, they have two sets of cheesy matching halloween t-shirts... they hate them, I love them.
Our beautiful breakfast date binge is about to come to an end because Jeremy is leaving Monday for a tour with Sleeping At Last. Luckily, this one is only two weeks long and I get to go to Chicago and pick him up (read: shop + eat cupcakes) when it's over. 2 weeks is the perfect amount of time for a tour. Most couples who have done it agree, it's long enough to REALLY miss each other, but not tooooo long to where there are tears at the end of every phone call. Yea, two weeks is good... over in a snap! Plus- I am happy for Jeremy that he gets to travel around with one of his best friends. Emma and I will have some sleepovers too, we always do!
Well, I'm off to enjoy two more days with my husband before he goes. This weekend will be full of celebrating with the ABM team, pulling stuff out of boxes, quality Larson time and making fun plans to keep me busy during his tour.
