I often get comments about how perfect my life seems. Yikes! They always stop me in my tracks and leave me wondering... "do people really think that?" Years of blogging have instilled certain habits in me. I don't take many photos when our home is messy, at nighttime, in bad lighting or of myself when I'm wearing my gym clothes. It's just a natural reaction to pull out my camera when, say, my house is looking awesome or my dogs are being cute or I'm having a good hair day. I think this is how most of us feel. We're not purposefully hiding anything... it's just easier to take photos of pretty things.
It's really sad to think that sometimes we browse around the internet and feel like other people have a prettier life or a cleaner house or this or that. It's not true. So this is just a friendly reminder that nothing's perfect. Don't fall into the trap of believing that anyone else has an easier/better/more beautiful life than you do. We all have bad days, hard weeks and messy parts of our lives. They aren't as fun to share, but they are there.
